Neil Armfield is one of Australia’s foremost directors and is currently Artistic Director of Company B, at Belvoir Street Theatre, in Sydney. He is the recipient of two Doctorates of Letters (U.Syd and UNSW) and many awards which he received for his prestigious work. Neil’s highlights include The Eighth Wonder, The Blind Giant is Dancing , Peribanez, Stuff Happens, Keating!, The Marriage of Figaro for Welsh National Opera, Sweeney Todd for Lyric Opera of Chicago and Royal Opera House in Convent Garden, London and The Diary of A Madman and Exit the King, both starring Geoffrey Rush. His film CANDY, starring Heath Ledger, Geoffrey Rush and Abbie Cornish, premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and won the AFI Award for Best Adapted Screenplay (co-written with Luke Davies).
