Coryza Chat

Coryza is not due to a single microbe, but the association of several viruses and bacteria that often cause complications. This disease affects the upper respiratory tract of the cat.

Contamination
It is highly contagious and mainly affects animals living in the community, adults and kittens, unvaccinated. It can be transmitted directly (via sneezing) or indirectly (if your cat comes in contact with objects that have been soiled by another cat sick).

Symptoms The symptoms appear after a incubation period of 2 to 5 days:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sneezing
  • Loss of appetite, more or less pronounced according to the animal
  • Runny eyes and nose which the gene for breathing and his eyes finally stick
  • Very tired
  • The red spots may appear in the mouth.
