Most people do not even know what foods have cholesterol in them, let alone the bad and good. However, cholesterol is not so complicated. There is good cholesterol in the diet and there is bad cholesterol in the diet. Consumption of cholesterol is transported through the bloodstream by lipoproteins because they cannot dissolve it. Lipoproteins role in the transport process is where we get the labels of good and bad cholesterol.

Low-density lipoproteins (LDL) take and carry cholesterol throughout the body. When the body has too much cholesterol, it just keeps circulating and eventually enters the blood vessels. Over time, it clogs the arteries and blocking blood flow. Remember, cholesterol cannot dissolve itself. So, he just continues to build. This construct is called plaque.
