Type 1 Diabetes

In this type of diabetes the pancreas does not produce insulin or produces too little. Although the exact causes are still unknown actually, scientists know that the own body’s defense system (immune system) attacks and destroys insulin-producing cells (beta cells) and these can not produce more insulin.
